Each film screening was introduced by a leading thinker who invites us to watch, reflect and discuss the future of society and the role of technology. The introduction was provided by Miriam Rasch.

Technique in Beeld

The reason for this series is the collection 'Denken over film: Techniek in Beeld'. The collection contains eight essays by well-known philosophers, aimed at making large (life) questions accessible for discussion in relation to new information technology developments and applications. Themes of the essays range from the effects of smartphone addiction to autonomous AI. More information about this bundle is can be found here on our website.

About the movie

Our attention is our most important asset, that we easily waste. The temptations are too great. Every moment on our phone and social media is rewarded with a dopamine shot in the brain. Meanwhile, life passes us by. How do we find a conscious life?
