LibraryNet brings together two things: (1) a public information and communication network next to the commercialized Internet, which also works when the Internet or the power supply fails. Libraries thus perform a crucial information and meeting function in times of need.

This network consequently (2) forms the basis of a public Internet. Locally managed, based on open source technology, without tracking or addictive technology, with community participation. The new emergency network enables the public internet.
