With the closure of hundreds of church buildings, the hypernervous society loses special places of reflection and silence. But if church communities can't maintain them, and the government doesn't take on that task, then who does? In collaboration with Lia Hol (Friendly Netherlands), Anique de Kruijf (Museum Catherijneconvent) and Jan Martijn Abrahamse (Christian Hogeschool Ede), colleagues Ward Huetink and Ellen Klaver wrote an opinion contribution on this subject, partly in connection with the Ipsos research Holiness in the Environment.

Ipsos report: Holiness in the Environment

Although the Netherlands is rapidly debilitating, the need for meaning, rest and connection does not disappear. It's moving. This is demonstrated by a national survey of . . . . . . . . . . . . Socires, Vrijezinen Nederland, Museum Catharijneconvent and the Lectorate Theology of the Christian University of Ede (CHE). 1,517 Dutch people aged 18 and over participated in the study.
