6 October 2022 On Monday 3 October, participants of the Young Professional Program of Socires and Stichting Thomas More in conversation with Dr Annemarie Hinten. In small company the director of the Radboud Honours Academy took plenty of time to tell about her career, her vision of leadership, her belief in life and the nature of identity in organizations, and more.
Particularly interesting was the way Annemarie Hinten talked about her task of fulfilling the identity issue that Radboud University faced, after the bishop's conference almost two years ago took away the predicate "Catholic" from her. In the light of the university's centenary in 2023, Annemarie conducts a university-wide dialogue on the current and future significance of the institute's identity. A delicate task, where political sensitivities, tradition and beliefs are sometimes at odds. The way she handles this is closely linked to her own vision of society and identity, which was also evident from the interest in the experiences of the young professionals themselves.
The conversation with Annemarie Hinten was the last in this cycle of the Young Professional Program. Wim van de Donk, Rector Magnificus of Tilburg University and Jan Peter Balkenende, former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, preceded her. On 21 October this cycle will be closed in the Mariënkroon in Nieuwkuijk, where the kickoff of the new cycle takes place.
