"The duty of directors and supervisors to operate their business as a "responsive corporation" should be legally enforced." With this statement, 25 Dutch Professionals of Law opened the discussion on "corporate purpose," in June of this year (2020). Jaap Winter, chairman of the Advisory Council of the Finance and the Common Good program, is one of the prominent members of this group of professors. Now in September 2020 the Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad (FD) reports on the discussions that have aged within various boards in reaction to the Professors' proposal.
