Socires organised a seminar for young professionals in the financial sector on 29 November 2017 on Financialisation and the Future of Society, in cooperation with Èthos Centre, Sustainable Finance Laband Rethinking Economics, in the Symphony Building of VU Amsterdam.
If Socires We are convinced that discussions on the future should be held with the generation of the future. Participants were therefore invited on the basis of their knowledge and awareness of the subject ethics & finance, and are involved in organisations that actively involve future generations in their work.

Lectures were held by prof. dr. Haroon Sheikh (VU), Maarten Biermans (Rabobank), prof. dr. Ronald Jeurissen (Nyenrode), Christian Vos (DNB), and Ad Verbrugge (VU). Day chairman was Marleen Janssen Groesbeek.
The seminar is part of the series on the Finance-State-Society Triangle in Europe organised by Socires and the VU-Goldschmeding Chair in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Europaburo Brüssel, Moral Markets | Templeton World Charity Foundation, Rethinking Economics, Èthos Centre and Sustainable Finance Lab, and through support from Rabobank Den Haag and the Rabobank Foundation.
