On 13 February 2026, colleague Ronald van Steden, together with two other editors, published the book Impact with action research: a working method in many disciplines. This book gives a clear overview of action research and manages to connect theory and practice perfectly.
They bring together six basic concepts of action research: research, appreciation, participation, change, design and reflect. Each basic concept is discussed separately by the editors. As a result, they have created a communicative space between the many authors who have contributed to the book. The whole shows how action research develops in the collaboration of researchers with stakeholders in society. New is that this collection of authors from four corners speaks: from HBO, MBO, WO and advisory practice. The astonishing experience gained by the authors is that the dividing lines between these four sectors will disappear as soon as the discussion pertains to issues that matter.
