Ms Bakker-Klein becomes a member of the Supervisory Board, which furthermore consists of Pieter van Geel (President), Frank van den Heuvel (Vice-President) and Annemarie Hinten. Mrs. Bakker-Klein is an experienced driver and academic, Socires welcomes its knowledge and experience.
Biography
Janny Bakker-Klein started her career in the hospital, first as a nurse and later as an operating assistant and as a complaint officer. She studied Dutch Law, International Law and Management at Utrecht University and subsequently worked as programme manager at the Dutch Patient Consumer Federation and as director of Nier Foundation Netherlands. From May 2006 to June 2018 she was alderman in the municipality of Huizen, with in portfolio finance and the broad social domain. During that period she was also a member of the board of the Wethoudersvereniging, member (later chairman) of the Health and Welfare Committee of the Dutch Municipalities Association (VNG) and member of the national party board of the CDA. From September 2018 she will be working as Chairman of the Executive Board of Movision, a national knowledge institute for social issues. In autumn 2019 she defended her thesis on "response in the social domain" at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
