On 1 November Josine Westerbeek-Huitink joined the staff of Socires as programme leader of the "Care for Creation" programme, inspired by the encyclical Laudato Si. Josine has been president of the Christian-Social Congress for the last eight years. She has been director of the Wilde Ganzen development organisation for more than seven years. After graduating from Wageningen University of Agriculture, her career started at CNV. First as a policy officer and later as a director and vice-president with the labour market and social security portfolio. Within the CDA, Josine was politically active as chairman of the CDAWomen and also a member of the Party Board. At the moment, in addition to her position as programme leader, she is at Socires, Chairman of the Pension Register Foundation; Member of the Supervisory Board at Recreation Centres Netherlands and Member of the Supervisory Board of HandicapNL.
