11 May 2023 The Radboud University of Nijmegen has opened a position for a scientific researcher at the newly founded Laudato Si hindered Institute. This institute, which focuses on the academic development and practical application of Integral Ecology, is an initiative of Socires and the RU together.
As a scientific researcher Integral Ecology contribute to the debate on sustainability issues and related socio-economic issues. You will work closely with the outstanding professor Laudato Si... and conduct independent, discipline-overlying research at the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religion Sciences at the RU.
The encyclical Laudato Si hindered published in 2015 is a special contribution to thinking about ecological and social problems today. In this letter from Pope Francis, concerns about climate change, the modern way of producing and consuming and the suffering that that brings to large groups of people and other lives around the world. He calls on everyone of good will to participate in the change of this way of life and thinking, which is not only a political, social or economic task, but also requires personal and spiritual change. By assigning a researcher to this theme, Radboud University perpetuates its Catholic roots in the same year that the university exists for 100 years.
