Prof. Dr. Haroon Sheikh is a senior scientist at the WRR and special professorStrategic Governance of Global Technologiesat Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He will talk about geopolitical and geoeconomic changes and the unfolding new world order. In doing so, he will discuss, on the one hand, the various narratives developed to indicate this dynamic; On the other hand, the nature and scope of the new conflicts, including theweaponizationof food and food products more generally economics. After his introduction, Professor Sheikh will talk to the participants. The purpose of this discussion is to provide policy-relevant insights for the new research programme of Professor Sheikh at the WRR and also for the programmes of Socires.
