Organised on 21 November Socires the second meeting of the Young Leaders in Ecology. Young professionals talked to Heleen van den Berg, CEO of Cordaid, about the social dimension of Integral Ecology.
The central idea was that ecology is also about healthy interpersonal relationships: in a society in which much is automated, digitized and Economized, systems and interfaces increasingly take the place of encounters. As a result, we increasingly see the other as an instrument, capital, project or self as a problem. In a personal story, Heleen shared her experiences about working with your heart and connecting to the other, about the power of community, about learning from other cultures, about daring to have sharp conversations together with listening leadership and about the changing role and relevance of non-governmental organisations in today's society.
