On 1 October, the group of 25 ambitious young professionals gathered for the first meeting of the Young Leaders in Ecology. Guest wasMarianne Thieme, sustainability strategist, publicist and theologian.Gerard Kuperus, a philosopher at the Laudato Si' Institute in Nijmegen, gave an introduction.
There was a nice conversation between Marianne and the participants about Integral Ecology and personal leadership. It was about courage and against the flow of swimming, about modesty, about the importance of language and how to describe certain prejudices with humour and self-defense. It was an inspiring afternoon, which also covered deeper questions about philosophy, faith and meaning.
The meeting was the first in a series of three. On 21 November the participants will talk toHeleen van den BergCEO of Cordaid.Wouter van Noort, journalist of NRC, is guest on 23 January 2025.
