1. Is my gift to Socires Deductible?
Yes. Socires is an ANBI non-profit foundation. This means that your gift is deductible for income tax (in the case of individuals) or corporate tax (in the case of companies), as long as it meets the conditions of the Tax Administration. For large or complex gifts we always advise consultation with a notary or tax advisor.
2. How big does a gift have to be to get a tax advantage?
For regular one-off donations, your donations must total more than 1% of your threshold income, with a minimum of € 60 a year. There is also a maximum: your total deductible gifts may not exceed 10% of your threshold income. In the case of regular donations of at least five years, one exception shall be: the threshold and maximum do not apply, allowing you to deduct the full amount.

4. Can I donate periodically and what are the benefits?
Yes. You can opt for a regular donation, for example annually for a minimum of five years. The big advantage is that the gift is fully deductible for tax purposes. To take advantage of this tax advantage, you need a donation agreement. Socires provides a simple form that meets the requirements of the Tax Administration. You can fill this out online and send it to us.
5. Can I stop or change my periodic donation?
Yes, you can. Since you have an agreement with us, you can modify or stop the donation by contacting Socires. We are happy to help you with the accounting. Please note: adjustments may have fiscal consequences in the case of periodic donations.
6. What is a Mecenas and how do I become?
A Mecenas is a donor who has an annual contribution of minimum € 1,000 records for at least five years. Census Socires able to support projects and realise strategic plans in the longer term. Tax advantage: Periodic patronage contributions are fully deductible for tax purposes. You will receive from us an agreement that meets the requirements of the Tax Administration and a confirmation of your patronage status.
7. Can I create a fund by name?
Yes. You can do a gift and indicate how to spend it. This is customized and possible for gifts from € 50,000. We discuss with you the objectives of the fund and ensure that your gift is spent according to your wishes, with full transparency and accountability.
8. I can Socires Put in my legacy?
Yes. Socires include in your will via a bequest (fixed amount) or succession (percentage of your estate). Because Socires ANBI is, the foundation does not pay inheritance tax on the amount received. A notarial will shall be required for monetary estates. We advise you to always arrange this in consultation with us with a notary. Your gift may be anonymous or linked to a specific project.
9. How you doing? Socires with my data?
We only process your personal data for the performance of your gift, administration and legal obligations. Your data will be kept securely and never sold to third parties. For detailed information please read our privacy statement.
10. Can I do a gift via iDEAL?
Yes, one-time gifts can be transferred via iDEAL or Tikki. For structural periodic donations or patronage we recommend Mollie SEPA collection, as this is easily linked to your donation agreement and provides administrative overview.
11. How can I calculate my tax advantage?
You can easily calculate your tax advantage with our calculation tool. This takes into account your gift amount, your income and the type of donation (once or periodically).
