See
The book was written by former journalist Aukje van Roessel on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Socires. The cover depicts 14-year-old Jos, painted by Hugo Brouwer, who lived in Nuenen. Now, 87, Jos van Gennip takes a look back at his life, from growing up as a mannequin in Nuenen, to his commitment to the fathers and sisters in the mission, development aid and the CDA.
Book presentation
The afternoon was introduced by both Nuenaar Kees Rovers and Simone van der Heiden, director of the museum. Then Aukje van Roessel told about the book, the writing process and especially about the special collaboration with Jos van Gennip. The next floor was Jos van Gennip. He told about the importance of continued engagement and rootedness. He also mentioned the development of the region. According to him, this development is due to the four CJOs: Companies, Cooperatives, such as the Noordbrabant Christian Farmers' Union, Corporations, who have worked for affordable housing, and Congregations, the clergy who were responsible for care and education.

Sign
After the presentation a signing session followed in the meeting room, where the book could be purchased and personally signed by Jos van Gennip. For everyone, he took the time for a chat and a personal message.
